Monroe Paul Roth, Jr., died April 15, 2024; son of Setta Lee Bensinger and Monroe Paul Roth Sr. He celebrated his 97th birthday on March 29, 2024. Extraordinarily proud of his daughters Nancy Lynn Roth, PhD. and Cantor Janet Ilene Roth; their loves Sigrid Ann Larson, MD, and Stuart Weiner, and granddaughters Abigail Mae and Madaket June. Celebrated almost 70 years of marriage to Elaine Goldman. He joined the Navy at 17 and served proudly in the South Pacific. Very active in the Union League Club. Was President of Goodwill Industries and Chicagoland Enterprise Center. His funeral will be held Thursday 4:00 PM at Temple Sholom of Chicago, 3480 N. Lake Shore Drive with Rabbi Scott Gellman officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Sholom of Chicago's Monday Meals, sholomchicago.org/donate.
