Dr. Donald Saltzman passed away on September 6, 2025. Donald was born in Chicago on October 29, 1935, and was the son of Seymour and Ruth Saltzman.
Don was a proud alumnus of Von Steuben High School and the University of Illinois, and he was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Don practiced dentistry in the Chicago area for over 60 years. He will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, the strong bonds of friendship that he forged with so many people and his warm and caring personality.
Donald is survived by his children Kerry (Pamela) Saltzman, Steven Saltzman and Amy (Hal Unterberger) Saltzman. Donald was the devoted grandfather of Samantha (Daniel) Bickley, Scott (Allison Donnelly) Saltzman and Harrison Unterberger; the cherished great-grandfather of Maeve and Sophie Bickley; and the long-time companion of Lynne Sirner.
Funeral service Tuesday, September 16 at 11:00AM at Westlawn Cemetery Chapel, 7801 W Montrose Ave, Norridge. Friends and family are invited to attend. Those who cannot attend can view services live at lakeshorejewishfunerals.com.
