Westlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum Association, Inc. (“WCMA”) and Westlawn Jewish Funerals, Inc. d/b/a Lakeshore Jewish Funerals (“Lakeshore”)(collectively, “Westlawn”) provide various features and tools that allow users to find answers to questions, make advanced funeral service and interment plans, learn about funeral and interment options and explore Jewish traditions. Westlawn offers these features and tools at www.westlawncemetery.org (the “Website”).  Please read the following privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) carefully before using the Services.

1. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

  1. This Privacy Policy covers how Westlawn treats user or personally identifiable information that the Website collects and receives.
  2. Subject to the above, this Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Westlawn  does not own, operate or control, or to people that it does not employ or manage.

In general, you can browse the Website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself to us. Westlawn does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals through the Website, except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals on interactive areas of the Website. “Personally Identifiable Information” is information that can be used to uniquely identify, contact, or locate a single person, such as name, postal address, email address, phone number, and credit card number, among other information, and that is not otherwise publicly available.     1. We may collect your email address, which constitutes Personally Identifiable Information. We may collect Personally Identifiable Information when you register through the Website to receive marketing or promotional communications. We may also record your phone calls with us about our products or services. 
    2. We do not intentionally collect Personally Identifiable Information about children under the age of 13.

Westlawn is the sole owner of all non-personally identifiable information collected through the Website.

  1. The Website contains links to other sites that may be of interest to our visitors. This Privacy Policy applies only to Westlawn and not to other companies’ or organizations’ sites to which we link. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other sites.
  2. Please keep in mind that if you click on an advertisement on the Website and link to a third party’s website, then Westlawn’s Privacy Policy will not apply to any Personally Identifiable Information collected on that third party’s website and you must read the privacy policy posted on that site to see how your Personally Identifiable Information will be handled.
